William was born in 1288, He belong to the Franciscan order (an eclesiastic order).
He studied theology at the University of Oxford from 1309 to 1321, but he never completed his studyes.
He lived in a very difucult periode because his ideology was very diferent to Frasciscan Order.
The Pope, John XXII and he was acused of heresy.
Ockham though a alternative theory to the Chistian ideology in this time.
He was philosophy teacher's in a franciscan school, but he had difficulties with the religion.
Ockham and other Franciscan sympathizers went to Avignon on 1328, and eventually was refuge in the court of the Louis IV of Bavaria ,who was also in dispute with the papacy. Ockham was excommunicated for leaving Avignon, but his philosophy was never officially condemned.
Ockhan was one of the major figures of medieval thought in England, and was at the centre of the major intellectual and political controversies of the fourteenth century.
He though the Occam's Razor theory, produced significant works on logic, physics, and theology.
He was deah on 1347 in Munich.
Umberto Eco, in his book, "The Name of the Rose", descript, Brother William of Baskerville is very similar to Sherlock Holmes and William Ockham.

1º Present Perfect Simple:
We use the Present Perfect to say that an action happened at an unspecified time before now.
Example:
I have seen that movie twenty times
We can use the Present Perfect with especific expressions such as: ever, never, once, many times, several times, before, so far, already, yet.

Examples:

There have been many earthquakes in California.

Active/Passive:

2º Present Perfect Continous
We use the Present Perfect Continuous to show that something started in the past and has continued up until now.
"For five minutes," "for two weeks," and "since Tuesday" are all durations which can be used with the Present Perfect Continuous.

Examples:
She has been working at that company for three years.
What have you been doing for the last 30 minutes?
James has been teaching at the university since June.
Active/Passive

Simple Future has two different forms in English: "will" and "be going to." Although the two forms can sometimes be used interchangeably, they often express two very different meanings. 1º Past Simple
Use the Simple Past to express the idea that an action started and finished at a specific time in the past. Sometimes, the speaker may not actually mention the specific time, but they do have one specific time in mind.
Estructure : [VERB+ed]
Examples (Interrogative and Negative)
You called Debbie.
Did you call Debbie?
You did not call Debbie.
2º Present Continous
Use the Past Continuous to indicate that a longer action in the past was interrupted. The interruption is usually a shorter action in the Simple Past. Remember this can be a real interruption or just an interruption in time.
Estructure : was/were + present participle
Examples (Negative and Interrogative)
You were studying when she called.
Were you studying when she called?
You were not studying when she called

We Use the Simple Past to express an action started and finished at a specific time in the past time.
